Kaisen MacKinnon

Kaisen is a passionate sister, friend, coach and community member from North Preston, Nova Scotia. She is deeply committed to giving back to her community and youth. She understands the challenges that many young people face and is determined to make a positive impact in their lives. Kaisen attended Acadia University where she played on the women’s basketball team and later moved on to play for Niagara College graduating in 2022 with an Advanced Diploma in Sport Management. Currently, Kaisen is a Student Success Coach with The Prep Academy, inspiring and preparing African Nova Scotian students for post-secondary education and beyond. She is also a student at Dalhousie University studying Sociology with plans to complete her Bachelors of Education. Despite her busy schedule, Kaisen always finds time to give back. Her passion for helping others continues to make a positive difference in the lives of our children and communities. She is determined and focused to utilize her experiences as a sister, student, and athlete to break down barriers and create a blueprint for the next generation.
