Keneca Pingue-Giles
Keneca, a Winnipeg native, with Bajan and Jamaican parents, is a former varsity athlete who played basketball at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University). During her career, Keneca won an OUA Championship and a CIS Silver Medal at the Final 8 Championships. Keneca was a 4x Academic All-Canadian, OUA Player of the Year, OUA Defensive Player of the Year, and CIS Player of the year in 2016. After her playing career, Keneca went on to be a policy advisor with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Keneca recently graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, and is a corporate lawyer at a full service firm in Toronto. Keneca enjoys binge watching all the streaming services, reading mystery and suspense novels, and watching cooking reels on Instagram. Keneca loves her Regent Park community, is passionate about youth and mentorship, and loves iced americanos. If Keneca was not a lawyer, she would own a cafe that would double as a community hub that supports locals and provides services the community needs.
