Carlette Gray

Carlette Gray, from Preston, Nova Scotia is a full time health care professional who enjoys traveling, food and good company. As a little girl she watched her Nana, who was well known for her tea biscuits, apple pies and homemade rolls, create magic. Carlette always wanted to help; roll the dough, add a pinch of salt, or mix the dry ingredients with a wooden spoon. Never once did she dream that she would be following in her Nanas footsteps. In 2020, with the intention of doing a one time shop that offered chocolate covered strawberries for Mothers Day. Carlette officially started Carlette’s Pop up shop. As a self taught, treat maker, Carlette has found herself thriving in her lane. Quickly expanding her menu options, which now includes more chocolate dipped treats, as well as baked goods (Like her Nana). Carlette’s Pop Up Shop is now Halifax’s most requested luxury treat & delectable dessert shop. Carlette prides herself on showing young Black youth in Nova Scotia that owning their own business can be a reality. Most recently, Carlette has also offered a variety of luxury picnics for all occasions, as well as personalized party favors. She also enjoys teaching youth workshops on how her business works. She is looking forward to sharing new ideas in the new year.
