Wyndolyn Brown

Wyndolyn is an African Canadian woman from a marginalized Black community in Nova Scotia. A survivor of sex trafficking, domestic violence, addiction, and homelessness, she is the CEO and founder of Empowerment For Hope Society. With a mission to break the cycle of abuse and trauma, Wyndolyn uses her lived experiences to educate, inspire, and empower others through workshops and programs. She is deeply involved in community outreach, especially supporting those affected by homelessness, providing food and workshops, and working to offer wraparound services through community partnerships. Through her efforts November 19/2022 to date, Wyndolyn has supported 67 women and young girls through holistic healing workshops, monthly peer support groups, and referral services that connect individuals with external resources in the community. As a Certified Trauma-Informed Coach, Certified Sexual Assault Supporter, and Certified Child & Youth Worker, Wyndolyn is passionate about raising awareness and providing resources for a better future. Wyndolyn was also recognized as one of Canada's 100 Black Women to Look for in Business in 2023, through the Canadian International Black Women In Excellence (CIBWE).
